On February 22, NFDI4Energy was finally officially launched with a kickoff event hosted by the University of Oldenburg as applicant institution. NFDI4Energy’s main goals are to establish standards and infrastructures for research artifacts in energy systems research to support interdisciplinary research in this field. The event brought together our partners from across Germany to discuss the project’s tasks and objectives, and to specify the details for the first phase.
Through NFDI4Energy, we aim to make research artifacts in the domain more accessible and reusable for the various stakeholders in energy systems research from research, industry, society, and politics. As emphasized by our spokesperson, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Astrid Nieße, we strive to enhance the work of researchers in energy systems research through our various services - the development of relevant services for the community is our focus.
The kickoff event was a great opportunity to connect more deeply with our partners and to align the common goals. We look forward to collaborating on this essential project for the next five years.
