Venue/Travel

Important: Public transport within Hanover will be on strike on Monday and Tuesday. If you are planning to travel by bus or tram within Hanover, please allow sufficient time. This is particularly relevant for the workshop on monday, which is a 30-minute walk from the main railway station. Apart from that, the Leibnizhaus, central station and dinner location are within walking distance of each other.

Leibnizhaus

The conference will take place in the Leibnizhaus in Hanover, located at Holzmarkt 5, 30159 Hannover. The Leibnizhaus was originally a Renaissance townhouse in Hanover built in 1499 and named after the philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. He lived in the house from 1698 until his death in 1716. The building was destroyed during an air raid on Hanover in 1943 during the Second World War. Between 1981 and 1983, a reconstructed new building with a faithfully reproduced façade was erected elsewhere.
