On November 11-12.2025, the second Energy Research Conference of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) took place in Berlin. The event brought together leading experts from the energy research community to discuss current developments and future challenges in the sustainable transformation of the energy system.

NFDI4Energy was represented by our spokesperson Astrid Nieße, who presented our work within the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). In her pitch, she explained how NFDI4Energy supports researchers in generating and preparing data and software as digital objects in a way that enables optimal use throughout the research process. This ensures reusability, interoperability, openness where possible, and improved findability, fully aligned with FAIR principles.

Beyond the presentation session, the conference offered valuable exchange with many colleagues from the energy research domain.
